Fans of the Broadway musical "Godspell" may now hear online audio commentary of a performance from the musical's director Daniel Goldstein and the composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz on the show's website.

According to a press release, the commentary features Goldstein and Schwartz discussing "their process and personal experiences of creating the hit Broadway revival." The audio track was recorded live in February during an evening performance.

Each Monday for the next ten weeks, a new 15-minute audio segment will be available online. The March 6 installment has inside thoughts on the re-creation of the prologue number "Tower of Babel," which had brand new material performed a cappella. Other topics discussed are the challenges of staging the show in the round at Circle in the Square Theatre and the controversy over the costume selection for Jesus.

"One of my favorite things to do is listen to commentaries on DVDs," said Ken Davenport, one of the producers of the revival, in the press release. "They make the experience that much richer. So I thought, why not do that for a Broadway musical? Part of the 'Godspell' experience, from the investment model, to our 'Godspell' blog has been to invite our fans and supporters behind the curtain. And our commentary is the ultimate entry into how the show was created."
