'Green Lantern' Effects Worker Sues Studio, Claiming On-Set Injury
John Franco filed the lawsuit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming unspecified damages from an incident he claims took place in July 2010 on the Louisiana set of the summer superhero tentpole.
Franco's lawsuit is short on details but he says the accident caused him to suffer "numerous internal and external injuries, severe fright, shock, pain, discomfort and anxiety," according to the complaint.
The suit for negligence, peculiar risk, ultrahazardous activity and loss of consortium, includes as defendants Warner Bros. Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, Big Moose Llc., DC Comics and South Bay EFX Inc.
Warners declined to comment.
The lawsuit, filed by attorneys Browne Greene, Daniel Balaban and Andrew Spielberger, is dated March 2 but wasn't filed until Wednesday.
