"Jambo, Watoto! (Hello, Children!)"

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts continues to show its love for kids of all ages through its Programs for Young Audiences series. This endeavor is made to expose children to a mix of national and international touring acts. On Feb. 26, kids can attend "Jambo, Watoto!," an homage to the cultures of Africa featuring tales and rhythms from many regions played on bells, djembe, and djoon djoon drums. Stories include the Akamba tale "Brother Sun, Brother Moon and the Pretty Girl," the Donso story "The Hunterman and the Crocodile," and "The Lion's Whiskers" from Ethiopia.
