Mandeville Films' new project "Empire State" will be cast by Kerry Barden and Paul Schnee, Back Stage confirmed with the production company. The film's plot is centered on a 1982 armored car robbery, which was the largest cash heist in U.S. history at the time. The project, to be directed by Dito Montiel, already has Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson attached to star. Currently, plans are to start shooting in April in New Orleans. Barden/Schnee has offices in both New York and Los Angeles, and both will be involved in staffing this project.
Barden/Schnee's recent credits include the upcoming Snow White film "Mirror Mirror," the sketch comedy compilation "Movie 43," and the recently wrapped serial killer film "The Iceman," among many, many others.
