L.A. Talent Manager Arrested for Alleged Molestation
Martin Weiss, a Los Angeles–area talent manager who represents child actors, has been arrested in connection with the suspected molestation of one of his clients. According to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported on the arrest, police suspect that other children may also have been victimized.

Det. John Alviani of the Los Angeles Police Department told the Times that Weiss' bail has been set at $300,000 and that he was, as of Wednesday night, being held in jail. The alleged victim "told police he had been sexually assaulted in Weiss' Santa Monica apartment and in a home in Woodland Hills, according to an affidavit attached to the warrant," the paper reported.

Citing the court affidavit, the Times reported that an 18-year-old male former client of Weiss told police on Nov. 17 that Weiss had assaulted him 30 to 40 times over a three-year period, ending when he was 15 years old. The alleged victim claimed that Weiss told him "that what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry" and that if he told anyone "it would ruin the victim's career," according to the affidavit.

Weiss' clients received an email Tuesday notifying them that his firm, Martin Weiss Management, had been dissolved.
