Lifetime Greenlights Two Drama Series

Lifetime has picked up two dramas, both set to premiere later this year.

The two series, "Exit 19" and "Against the Wall," have received 13-episode orders.

"Exit 19" is about a divorced mother Gloria Sheppard, who juggles her demanding personal and professional life as an intuitive LAPD homicide detective, while raising two sons with the help of troubled brother Davey. Ally Walker ("Sons of Anarchy") and Chris Payne Gilbert ("Dexter") as the siblings, along with Tisha Campbell-Martin and Miguel Ferrer.

From ABC Studios and CBS Studios, the pilot was penned by Jeffrey Bell ("V") and executive produced with Nina Wass and Gene Stein. Peter O'Fallon ("The Good Wife") helmed.

"Against the Wall," from Universal Cable Productions, centers on Chicago police detective Abby Kowalski, who decides to join the department's internal affairs division. Loyalties are tested within her close-knit, blue-collar family of cops. Treat Williams and Kathy Baker star with Rachel Carpani. Nancy Miller exec produced with writer and creator Annie Brunner, who will serve as supervising producer. Michael Fresco directed the pilot.
