After acclaimed performances in “The Merchant of Venice” and “Seminar,” actor Lily Rabe breaks out as a headlining star in Shakespeare in the Park’s “As You Like It” this summer. The actor tells Back Stage about her long-held dream to play Rosalind, why she and director Daniel Sullivan are so simpatico, and why FX’s “American Horror Story” is the best television job she could imagine.

Elsewhere in the issue, stage vet Luke Kirby talks about his two wildly different roles in films “The Samaritan” and “Take This Waltz.” And Fox’s VP of casting, Seth Yanklewitz, recounts how one “adorkable” coup for the pilot of “New Girl” led to his new position.
