Talk about a squeaker. "The Lion King" just barely edged by "Wicked" to claim the top spot on the Broadway box office chart, snaring $1, 804,258 to "Wicked"'s $1,800,949. In another interesting development, two straight plays joined the top ten list of moneymakers, which is usually an exclusively musical club. The star-heavy revivals of "Death of a Salesman" and "Gore Vidal's The Best Man" claimed the number nine and ten slots, respectively.
