"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" fought off three newcomers to the box office this week and stayed the top movie for its second week in a row. "John Carter" grossed around $30 million to come in second, which ordinarily would be a solid start for most films. With a budget of $250 million, however, "Carter" is being seen as a major failure. Last week's number two film "Project X" fell to third place. Other new releases "Silent House" and "A Thousand Words" hardly made a sound.
