Brimmer Street Theatre Company is betting its patrons will want to bluff their way through its annual fundraiser next month.
The Los Angeles ensemble, a non-profit which produces and develops new work, is hosting a professional Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament at its annual gala. Buy in for the card game is $35.
The event is being billed as the “High Rollers’ Masquerade Ball” and is set for March 16. The tournament kicks off at 9 p.m. The grand prize is a New York theater-themed vacation.
For those disinclined to wager the night away, there’s an open bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle prize for a San Francisco getaway.
General admission tickets are $40. Cocktail attire is required and masks are encouraged.
