Wendie Malick has been tapped to guest star as the female lead in the WB Network's untitled Ross McCall/Aaron Peters comedy pilot, Emmy winner Rhea Perlman will co-star in CBS' comedy pilot "Stroller Wars," Tom Everett Scott has come on board ABC's comedy pilot "love life," and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Dabney Coleman has joined Jenna Elfman in CBS' comedy pilot "Everything I Know About Men."
Additionally, Chris Williams ("Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story") and Kate Hodge (UPN's "Level 9") have come aboard ABC's untitled Chris Kattan comedy pilot.
In pilot showrunner news, "Oliver Beene" creator Howard Gewirtz has joined the UPN comedy "Everybody Hates Chris" as an executive producer.
The untitled Ross McCall/Aaron Peters project, from Warner Bros. TV and Jerry Bruckheimer TV, revolves around three childhood male friends in their 20s who seek the advice of a female life coach (Malick).
Casting Malick as a guest star in the pilot stems from her commitment to ABC's midseason comedy "Jake in Progress," in which she co-stars opposite John Stamos.
Malick, who next stars in the play "Questa," slated to open April 7 at the Court Theatre in West Hollywood, is repped by Innovative Artists.
"Stroller Wars," from Sony Pictures TV and Paramount Network TV, follows a young New York couple (Tiffani Thiessen, Darren Ritchie) adjusting to life as new parents. Perlman will play Ritchie's mother.
Perlman's turn as acerbic waitress Carla on NBC's "Cheers" earned her 10 Emmy nominations and four wins. She is repped by ICM.
"Love life" (previously the untitled Kaplan-Elfont project), from Touchstone TV and Untitled Burke/Tarses Project, revolves around singles in their 30s dating in Philadelphia.
Scott will play one of them, replacing the previously cast Mark Umbers.
Scott, star of the feature "That Thing You Do!" and the series "The Street" and "Philly," was attached to Fox's comedy "Stacked" this season. He next will be seen opposite Diane Keaton in CBS' telefilm "Surrender, Dorothy."
Scott is repped by the Gersh Agency and Scott Bankston at Anonymous.
"Everything I Know About Men," from Touchstone TV and Paramount Network TV, stars Elfman as an assistant at a marketing firm who, with the help of her friends, tries to figure out how to deal with the men in her life.
Coleman will next be seen in Tony Scott's "Domino."
"Everybody Hates Chris," from Paramount Network TV, is a single-camera comedy narrated by Chris Rock based on the comedian's childhood experiences. On the project, Gewirtz will serve as an exec producer alongside Rock, Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky.
Gewirtz, whose credits also include "Taxi," "Wings" and "Jenny," is repped by UTA.
