The Royal Shakespeare Company’s “Matilda The Musical” leads the 2012 Olivier Award nominees, which were announced on Thursday.

The musical, which is scheduled for a Broadway run in 2013, led the pack with 10 nominations. (Auditions for the Broadway production are this Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at Ripley Grier Studios.) Other notable shows include Lyttelton Theatre’s “One Man, Two Guvnors” and Gielgud Theatre’s “The Ladykillers,” each with five nominations.

Named after distinguished British actor, director, and producer Laurence Olivier, the ceremony highlights theater in West End and other productions staged in London. The awards were first created in 1976 under the name The Society of West End Theatre Awards. In 1984, Olivier allowed them to be renamed in his honor.

This year’s ceremony will take place in the Royal Opera House on April 15.
