Matt Damon and John Krasinski don't merely star together in director Gus Van Sant's new film "Promised Land"—they also co-wrote the screenplay. So what was it like for Krasinski, a Boston native, to work work with Damon—who won an Academy Award for co-writing the iconic Boston movie "Good Will Hunting"—as both a writing partner and a scene partner?
"It was really incredible to actually get a chance to write with him and to be in a room with Will Hunting," Krasinski said, poking some good-natured fun at his collaborator at a recent screening of "Promised Land" presented by Backstage and the SAG Foundation.
