Manhattan Theatre Club has appointed Paige Evans and Mandy Greenfield as associate artistic directors, with Evans focusing on programming and Greenfield on production. The appointments were made by Executive Producer Barry Grove and Artistic Director Lynne Meadow.
Since 2003, Evans has been the director of artistic development. She has worked extensively (though not continuously) at MTC since 1990, when she got a job as an artistic assistant in the script office. Greenfield started at MTC as an intern while still in college and returned in 2003 to be artistic associate. She was named director of artistic operations a year later.
Meadow will begin a one-year sabbatical at the end of the current season; Tony Award-winning director Daniel Sullivan will serve in her stead.
"I have enjoyed my working with Paige and Mandy when I was directing at MTC," Sullivan said in a news release, "and know I will appreciate our association as I assume the acting artistic directorship."
