Nationwide Contest for Regional Productions of 'Annie' and 'Annie Jr.'

The producers of “Annie,” which is scheduled to return to Broadway this fall, are holding a nation-wide contest for local productions of “Annie” or “Annie Jr.” Winners receive a visit from the Annie on Broadway creative team.

Interested parties should visit facebook.com/anniethemusical, upload a photo from their production (troupe logo, production poster, photo of the theater, etc) and write one sentence on what made or is going to make your production successful. Productions can be nominated up through May 31 at 11:59 p.m., and voting will be held June 1-15. Winners will be announced on Facebook on June 18.

The revival of “Annie” is directed by three-time Tony Award-winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler. The creative team includes scenic designer David Korins, costume designer Susan Hilferty, lighting designer Donald Holder, sound designer Brian Ronan, and musical director Todd Ellison.
