The Humana Festival of New American Plays, now in its 21st year at the Actors Theatre of Louisville (ATL), will offer six new, full-length works for the stage by up-and-coming playwrights in a rotating schedule of performances from March 4 through April 13.
Returning to ATL this year are playwrights Richard Dresser of Los Angeles and Steven Dietz of Seattle, Wash.
Making their debuts with the festival will be Benjie Aerenson, Carol K. Mack, and Edwin Sanchez of New York City, as well as Naomi Iizuka of Los Angeles.
The festival plays will be staged in ATL's 637-seat Pamela Brown Auditorium, the 318-seat Bingham Theatre (in the round), and the 159-seat Victor Jory Theatre.
Tickets for the Humana Festival go on sale Feb. 1 to ATL subscribers, and Feb. 8 to the public.
