Two new cable pilots have casting directors, Back Stage has confirmed.

"Rewind," a drama/sci-fi pilot for SyFy, will be cast by Risa Bramon Garcia and Toby Guidry. The pilot, produced by Universal Cable Productions and BermanBraun, centers on a team of military operatives and scientists who, in the aftermath of a devastating nuclear attack, travel back to the past in hopes of altering the present. Shooting is scheduled to get under way in Toronto in late April. As is the case with many potential SyFy series, "Rewind" will be shot as a two-hour backdoor pilot so the network has the option of airing it as a standalone movie in the event that it doesn't get a series order.

This is Bramon Garcia's second pilot this season, as she is also casting NBC comedy pilot "Downwardly Mobile," which reteams Roseanne Barr and John Goodman in the leads. She also did the Los Angeles casting for CBS series "A Gifted Man." Guidry has worked as an associate in the offices of Burrows/Boland and Margery Simkin, working on high-profile film projects like "The Hobbit" and "The Adventures of Tin Tin." He will receive a casting director credit on this project.

Robi Reed, VP talent and casting for BET, is casting a new comedy sitcom from the Wayans brothers. Plot details are scarce at this point. The project is billed as simply the "Second Generation Wayans Pilot." There is no start date set, but plans are to shoot in Atlanta.

Reed, the in-house casting director for BET, just finished casting another pilot for the network, "Single Black Female," which is currently shooting in Atlanta. She also casts BET comedy series "Reed Between the Lines" and "Let's Stay Together."
