In a contest called "Next Taxi Star," the city is looking for someone to appear in an introductory video that will play at the beginning of every cab ride. Applicants must be 18 years old and legal residents of New York City. To be considered, submit a 30-second video describing your favorite thing about the city to nexttaxistar@media.nyc.gov. You can also mail a hard copy to NYC Media, 1 Centre St., 27th floor, New York, NY 10007 or drop it off at the same location.
The contest has been accepting submissions since Oct. 25, and the last day to submit a video is Tuesday, Nov. 1.
