The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts introduced two new exhibits on June 28. The first, "Music by Richard Rodgers," showcases the works of the musical legend in a multimedia exhibition running through Sept. 28 in the Vincent Astor Gallery, 11 Amsterdam Ave.
The second exhibit, "Children's Books in Performance," explores how children's books are adapted into theatre, dance, opera, concert music, film, radio, and television. Set in the Oenslager Gallery, this exhibit will close on Oct. 31. A related film series is set to run in conjunction with the exhibit on Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 pm from July 17-Aug. 28 in the Donnell Library Center Auditorium, 20 W. 53 St.
Admission is free. The library is located at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza. For more info, call (212) 870-1630 or visit www.nypl.org.
