One-Night Only: The Art of the One-Person Show

Groundlings alumni Julia Sweeney, David Jahn, Jeremy Rowley, Tim Bagley, and Steven Cragg will participate in a one-night-only panel discussion titled "How To Create and Produce Your One Person Show" on July 10 at the Groundlings Theatre.

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Sweeney has created three one-woman shows that have been performed across the country and Off- Broadway. Tim Bagley, currently appearing on Monk, has created several one-man shows, including Clean Boy, Dirty Stories and Happy Hour that have taken him to the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. David Jahn is the creator of Do you Fear What I Fear, a one-man show that premiered at The Groundlings enjoyed an extended run at The Elephant Asylum in Los Angeles. MadTV writer/producer Steven Cragg's one-man show I am Not Mark Twain premiered at The Groundlings and went on to perform at the Aspen Festival. Jeremy Rowley most recently created the character Dr. Dang in the one-man show How to Avoid Being Attacked by a Serial Killer.

The Groundlings Theatre is located at 7307 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The panel will take place 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, $10 for students, available at the Groundling Theatre box office or by calling (323) 934-4747, ext. 37.
