Casting for future replacements in all U.S. companies of "The Phantom of the Opera." Cameron Mackintosh & the Really Useful Co., prod'r; Andrew Lloyd Webber, music; Charles Hart, lyrics; Harold Prince, dir.; Gillian Lynne, choreo.; Peter Von Mayrhauser, prod. supervisor; David Caddick and Kristin Blodgette, musical supervisors; Denny Berry, dance supervisor; Johnson-Liff Casting Associates, casting dir. Auditions will be held at City Center Studios, 130 W. 56 St., 4th fl., NYC. Be dressed, warmed up, and ready to dance at the hour the audition begins. Men should wear ballet shoes. There is no solo singing for the dancers, but they will have to carry some vocal responsibility in the ensemble numbers. Be prepared with a song in case you are asked to sing. Choose music from the musical theatre repertoire that best shows off your voice and range. Bring sheet music in your key; accompanist provided. Bring pix & resumes stapled together. Casting for "Phantom of the Opera" is interracial. EQ. PRODUCTION CHORUS CONTRACT.

Seeking: male, classical/ballet dancers, 5'9" or taller, must be well-built and muscular, strong classical dancers, not tap dancers or "hoofers."
