The reviews and audiences may have yawned when “Chaplin” debuted on Broadway last summer, but the bio musical received some love this morning when Robert Cuccioli and Laila Robbins announced the 63rd annual Outer Critics Circle at the Friar’s Club.

In addition to star Rob McClure, the show received seven more nominations, trailing behind only “Pippin” (11 nominations) and “Kinky Boots” (nine nominations) and tying "Cinderella" to be the third-most nominated show of the 2012-2013 season.

Also singled out were Off-Broadway musicals “Dogfight” and “Here Lives Love,” which received five and four nominations, respectively.

The winners of the Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced May 13, prior to the May 23 awards ceremony at Sardi’s Restaurant. A full list of nominees is below.
