The Powerhouse Summer Theater season, presented by Vassar College and New York Stage and Film, opens on June 26 at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., featuring new plays and staged readings by accomplished playwrights.
The Powerhouse Season will open with "Red Memories," a new musical written by Seth Greenland and directed by Roger Rees. Also on the mainstage this season are "Side Man," by Warren Leight and "Mr. Melancholy," by Matt Cameron.
The summer season also features second-stage productions in the Coal Bin Theater, including two New Play Readings festivals. Also in the Coal Bin are "Missionaries," written and directed by Elizabeth Swados, "The Measure of a Man," by Randle Mell and Tony Abatemarco, and "Tongue of a Bird," by Ellen McLaughlin.
The Powerhouse's summer also includes free performances of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" and "The Two Noble Kinsmen." Information: (914)
