The musical was launched July 9, 201,1 at Off-Broadway's Theater 80 and later transferred to P.S. 122, where it will continue through July 15.
Harrison, whose theater credits include "Wicked" on Broadway and "The Singing Forest" Off-Broadway, will play Dr. Hannibal's nemesis, Dr. Chilton. The story centers on rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling (Jenn Harris), who matches wits with the brilliant but psychotic cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (David Garrison), to track down the mysterious serial killer known as Buffalo Bill (Stephen Bienskie). She's also dealing with her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter's clues before another innocent girl is killed.
According to the press notes, "The laugh-out loud wicked satire, 'Silence! The Musical,' features a singing chorus of floppy eared lambs narrating the action as Buffalo Bill gleefully dances a hoedown while kidnapping hapless Catherine Martin. Even Dr. Lecter, scary as ever, sings about the life he'd like to lead someday outside the prison walls."
Book is by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.
