SAG Award Submissions Go Digital

Reflecting the zeitgeist, performers hoping to be tapped for Screen Actor Guild (SAG) Award nominations will now have to submit their performances online.

The submission process has begun and the deadline for uploading performances is Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, the union announced.

Though online submissions have been around since the 9th SAG Awards 10 years ago, it is unprecedented for the process to be digital only. The online approach expresses SAG's interest in making the program "greener."

SAG Award nominations will be announced Wed., Dec. 12, at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
