Nominations have been announced for the 20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In film, Steve McQueen’s “12 Years A Slave” leads with four nominations. Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson all earned recognition in film’s Female Lead category, and the late James Gandolfini is nominated for an award for his supporting role in “Enough Said.”

Others up for awards for their supporting roles are Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club”), Barkhad Abdi ("Captain Phillips"), Daniel Bruhl ("Rush"), and Michael Fassbender ("12 Years a Slave"); Oprah Winfrey, June Squibb, Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Lawrence are nominated in the female supporting role category.

It’s a three way split in TV land with “Breaking Bad,” “Modern Family” and “The Big Bang Theory” tying for most nominations. The ensemble casts for “Boardwalk Empire,” “Breaking Bad,” “Homeland,” “Downton Abbey,” and “Game of Thrones” were all nominated for the Outstanding Drama category, while “30 Rock,” “Arrested Development,” “Veep,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and “Modern Family” snagged nods for Outstanding Comedy.

Rita Moreno was previously announced as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Last year, three SAG Award winners—Anne Hathaway, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Jennifer Lawrence—received Academy Awards, making the SAG Awards a reliable peek into who might walk away with Oscars.

The Awards ceremony will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Jan. 18, 2014 at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles.
