SAG Elects Ken Howard as President - IGNORE

While there are surely more conflicts to come, the Screen Actors Guild membership has just settled a big one: Ken Howard has been elected the union's new national president. Amy Aquino beat two-time incumbent Connie Stevens in the race for secretary-treasurer.

For the moment, at least, the outcomes indicate that the majority of the voting membership prefers the policy initiatives and less strident approach of the self-styled moderate wing of the party represented by Unite for Strength, which was created last year in opposition to outgoing president Alan Rosenberg's MembershipFirst party and its negotiation strategy.
