Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award Winners Announced
Robin Rudenberg's screenplay "Reckoning" won first place, Devin Fearn's "Wendigo" won second and Amy Aniobi's "Blame Candy" and Georgia Lin Sundling's "The Long Short Drop" tied for third. UC Santa Barbara student Cameron Lund won an honorable mention for the script "Practice Makes Perfect."
The Goldwyn Awards, which have been awarded in the past to Allison Anders, Francis Ford Coppola and Eric Roth, include a $15,000 prize for first place, $7,500 for second, $4,000 for third place and $2,000 for honorable mention. The judges were producer David Hoberman, writer/director/producer Paul Mazursky and writer/producer and former Goldwyn Award winner Melanie Marnich.
The awards recognize excellence in dramatic writing.
