With Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation’s Observership Program, emerging directors and choreographers are given the opportunity to observe the rehearsal process of Broadway, Off – Broadway and regional theater’s established directors and choreographers, while being provided a stipend.

From the first rehearsal to opening night, observers learn technique and strategies of professionals in creating, developing, or reviving a production of a show.

Previously, SDCF’s season featured Susan Stroman (“The Producers,” “Oklahoma”), Kathleen Marshall (“Anything Goes,” “The Pajama Game”), and Kenny Leon (“Stick Fly”).

To apply for the Observership program download the application at www.SDCweb.org/sdcf. Include a $25 application fee, a one-page statement explaining the benefit in participating in the observership program, a resume listing directing and/or choreography experience, and a signed recommendation from a peer or artist you’ve worked with. The application deadline is July 31, 2012.
