'Snow White' Hunts Down 'Men in Black III' and 'Avengers'

"Snow White and the Huntsman" dominated the first post-Memorial Day box office weekend of the summer season with $56 million, trouncing last week's champ "Men in Black III" which took in $29 million. "Marvel's The Avengers" dropped to the number three spot, but its total gross of $553 million makes the superhero spectacle the third-highest earner of all time after "Avatar" and "Titanic."
