Let's get this out of the way quickly. Breaking into plain old voice-overs is tough. Doing those unique voices—animation, talking books, or serving as an announcer—is an even tougher nut to crack. The competition is keen and getting keener. Nonetheless, for those who are able to make a go of it, it's a nice way to supplement income while searching for those elusive onstage or onscreen acting gigs.
