SUMMER EVENTS

By T.M. Hartmann

Throughout the summer, Back Stage will be listing events around New York that are free and open to the public. What follows is a partial listing of events in the five boroughs for the week of July 10-16. Although we're pressed for space at times and can't guarantee that everything will be included, we'd love to hear about other freebies. Send a press release, including a contact number and photos, to: Free Events, Back Stage, 1515 Broadway, 14th floor, NYC 10036, or fax: (212) 536-5318. Note: Certain events, such as at the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn, have suggested donations of $3-$5. At the Asser Levy Seaside Park, also in Brooklyn, only certain seating areas are free.
