Daniel Tibbets has been named vice president of development at Papazian-Hirsch Entertainment, which serves as co-executive producer for the CBS series Nash Bridges. Tibbets, former manager of Eyemark Entertainment's TV programming and development, will be developing projects to be produced by Papazian-Hirsch. While at Eyemark, Tibbets played a role in the development and production of programs including Jackie Collins' Hollywood, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal, and The Wild, Wild Web.

Triple Axel Productions, in association with Tricor Entertainment and Teddy Dog Productions, will start shooting Carlo's Wake, starring Martin Landau and Rita Moreno, on Oct. 5. for 18 days in L.A. Casters Lisa Mionie and Eileen Stringer are looking for a wide range of comedic Italian-American actors to portray various family members amidst their squabbles at the wake of the family patriarch. Casting for the large ensemble cast starts Aug. 17.

Monsoon Productions started shooting The Young Girl and the Monsoon, a romance, Aug. 8 in Manhattan. Cstg. Jeff Block.

Silver Screen Industries started shooting Dream Works, an action/adventure, Aug. 13 in California and Washington D.C. Cstg. Dorian Jones.

DreamCatchers Entertainment will start shooting Surviving Paradise, an action/drama, Aug. 14 in L.A. Cstg. Caroline Sinclair.

Happy House Productions will start shooting Gathering the Joneses, a comedy, in mid-Aug. in Minneapolis and Saskatchewan. Cstg. Elisa Goodman, Abra Edelman.

E2 Film Works/Tall Skinny Black Boy Productions will start shooting Punks, a romantic comedy, in mid-Aug. in L.A. Cstg. Robi Reed-Humes.
