The Brilliance of the American Theatre Panel
The American Theatre and Drama Society presents a second annual panel discussion March 22 featuring four authors with new volumes on the varying aspects of American theater history. The panelists are Robin Bernstein ("Racial Innocence: Performing American Childhood From Slavery to Civil Rights"), Soyica Diggs Colbert ("The African American Theatrical Body: Reception, Performance, and the Stage"), Stuart Hecht ("Transposing Broadway: Jews, Assimilation, and the American Musical"), and Tamsen Wolff ("Mendel's Theatre: Performance, Eugenics, and Early Twentieth-Century American Drama").
