The Komen New York Race for the Cure, an affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, will present its tenth annual race—a 3.1 mile run/walk—in Central Park on Sun., Sept. 17 at 9:00 am. With over 30,000 runners expected, it will have more participants than the New York City Marathon.
For the sixth consecutive year, a team of performers—Equity, AFTRA, SAG, and non-union—will run and walk in the race. Although only breast cancer survivors may run, everyone is welcome to support runners by participating in Proud in the Crowd, a morning of sideline entertainment.
