The Screen Actors Guild has formulated a made-for-Internet contract for producers and SAG members.
The pact provides actors with basic coverage, including pension and health plan contributions, according to Variety. While the agreement doesn't specify minimum rates, the negotiation starting point mirror's the guild's minimum basic agreement: a $596 daily rate.
SAG has been offering the pact for about a month on a case-by-case basis. The guild staff based the new contract on agreements offered by the Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America.
