TV PILOTS

Accidentally on Purpose (Comedy, CBS). Billie's carefree one-night stand turns into something more permanent when she finds out she's pregnant and has the one-nighter, Zack, a charming man-boy, temporarily move in with her to help out. The Bridge (Drama, ABC). Frank Leo, a tough and dedicated police officer recently voted the police union's dynamic new leader, battles criminals on the street and corruption in his own ranks, including among his bosses. Caprica (Science fiction, Syfy). This prequel to "Battlestar Galactica" takes place 50 years earlier and follows the evolution of the Cylons when the colonies were at peace. Told from the perspective of two families, the Graystones and the Adamas, the series explores themes of corporate control, politics, and the impact of emerging technologies. Community (Comedy). "The Soup" host Joel McHale stars as Jeff Crocker, a smooth-talking lawyer who is forced to return to community college when his undergrad degree is revoked. Day One (Sci-fi, NBC). In the aftermath of the global devastation of the world's infrastructures, a small group of surviving neighbors in a Van Nuys, Calif., apartment complex works to rebuild society and solve the question of what happened in the first place. The Deep End (Drama, ABC). Flash Forward (Drama, ABC). A mysterious global event causes everyone to black out simultaneously for two minutes and 17 seconds. Slowly some of them remember they hadn't blacked out at all—but shot six months into the future to see a sliver of what was to come. Joseph Fiennes stars. The Forgotten (Drama/Crime, ABC). A group of dedicated amateur detectives, the members of the all-volunteer Identity Network, attempt to reconstruct the pieces of nameless victims' lives from what little evidence is left behind. Gigantic (Dramedy, Nickelodeon). The privileged daughter of two Hollywood stars returns to Los Angeles after a two-year film shoot over seas with her parents to find everything and everyone she knew has changed, and left her behind in the process. Justified (Drama). A U.S. marshal struggles to reach a balance between work and family, a task complicated by the emergence of an old time friend of his father's with questionable motives. Life Unexpected (Drama, CW). Fed up with bouncing from one foster family to another, a 15-year-old makes the decision to become an emancipated minor and unexpectedly finds her biological father and her celebrity mother in the process. Melrose Place (Drama, CW). Contemporary remake of the classic Aaron Spelling series about people living in a hipster apartment complex on Melrose Ave. Katie Cassidy stars. Men of a Certain Age (Comedy). Hourlong comedy about a trio of 40-something former college buddies going through their respective midlife crises. The Middle (Comedy, ABC). Life may not be glamorous or showy for Frankie, but she's at home in the place where family comes first and folks do whatever it takes to keep that family together. Modern Family (Comedy, ABC). An international filmmaker documents the lives of three families: one with a stay-at-home dad, another in which a gay couple experience first-time fatherhood with the adoption of a Vietnamese child, and the third in which a 60-year-old man becomes an instant dad when he marries a 30-something Latina mother. NCIS: Los Angeles (Drama, CBS).
