What do Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr. and Meryl Streep have in common?

They're cheap.

Hard to imagine, but those three are considered some of the biggest bargains in Hollywood, given how much money their movies bring in compared with how much they're paid.

The data comes courtesy of Forbes and its annual list of the best actors for the buck, which it released late Tuesday.

Those seasoned veterans, though, still are no match for young "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" franchise players like Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe, who are Nos. 1, 3 and 4 on the list, respectively.

Forbes looks at wide releases over the past five years and compares operating income of titles to the salaries the productions pay the stars in order to determine which actors represent bargains.

Because "Twilight" movies don't cost much -- relatively to some other blockbusters -- they score high on operating income, which makes the multimillion-dollar actors look downright underpaid.

Stewart, for example, is paid $1 for every $55.83 that her films earn. That's a stark contrast to the $2.70 that Eddie Murphy movies make for every $1 he is paid. Forbes identified Murphy last month as the second most overpaid actor, behind only Drew Barrymore, whose movies earn just 40 cents for every dollar she's paid.

After Stewart on the Forbes list released Tuesday is Anne Hathaway, whose movies earn $45.67 for every dollar she is paid, courtesy of the $1 billion that "Alice in Wonderland" took in worldwide.

Pattinson, Stewart's "Twilight" series co-star, earned $39.43 for every $1 he was paid. HIs average was taken down due to "Water for Elephants" and "Remember Me," which both did fairly well but can't compare to "Twilight." Taylor Lautner of "Twilight" didn't qualify for the list.

Radcliffe's movies made $34.24 per $1 he was paid. Downey, Streep and Depp are Nos. 6, 9 and 10, respectively, on the list.
