"Gotham," from 20th TV, will be cast by the New York–based office of Beth Bowling and Kim Miscia. The pilot, written by "The River" executive producer Michael Green, is a police procedural with supernatural elements centering on a female cop who, in the course of pursuing an unsolved case, discovers a magical world hidden within New York City. The pilot is set to shoot in New York in mid March. Bowling/Miscia are also casting the CBS pilot "Trooper."
"Zero Hour," from ABC Studios, will be cast by Ronna Kress. The pilot, written by 'Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring, is about the longtime editor of a skeptics magazine who begins to question everything he believes when he's unwittingly pulled into a globe-spanning conspiracy. Kress generally casts film projects big in both budget and profile (recent credits include the upcoming actioner "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and Tim Burton's animated "Frankenweenie"), but "Zero Hour" seems of a scope consistent with Kress's feature work. Shooting will get under way in Montreal in March.
