Newman, who has spent almost a decade with the company, was given the title of casting director after serving as a co-casting director. She joins the ranks of Robert Ulrich, Eric Dawson, Carol Kritzer, Shawn Dawson, Eric 'Stephen' Souliere, and Liz Dean.
Alana Balden also joined the company as a casting assistant.
The company, known formally as Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting, has worked with a variety of networks. Its current credits include FX’s “American Horror Story,” Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” CBS’s “The Mentalist” and “CSI,” and Showtime’s “Dexter.” Newman will cast “Glee,” which was recently renewed for a fourth season, and the CW’s “Supernatural," which was renewed for an eighth season in May.
