United Talent Agency has appointed veteran agents Ruthanne Secunda and Nancy Gates as co-heads of the TV-talent unit. Daily Variety and Television Week report the duo's responsibilities in the newly created positions will include overseeing talent representation and talent-centered packaging.
UTA's TV clients includes Patrick Dempsey, William Petersen, Sarah Chalke, Masi Oka, Jimmy Smits, Jon Cryer, Anna Friel, Brooke Shields, Kate Walsh, and William Baldwin.
"Ruthanne and Nancy are respected throughout the industry for their outstanding taste in both talent and material and their ability to propel artists to the tops of their craft," talent department co-head and UTA board member Tracey Jacob said in a statement. "Their leadership in the television talent area is a major asset to UTA's continuing growth and success."
Secunda and Gates have been with UTA since 1996. Secunda began her career at Abrams Artists before a brief stint as a manager at 3 Arts. Gates joined as a trainee and became an agent two years later.
