Russell, nominated for an Oscar for Best Director; SAG Award and Oscar nominees Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro; Jackie Weaver, Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actress; and Bradley Cooper, SAG Award and Oscar nominee for Best Actor.
The star-studded ensemble discussed how they worked together and related to their characters. De Niro, when asked about how he prepared for a particularly powerful scene, explained how he doesn't get caught up in extensive prepartion and said, "Let go, forget about it. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't."
