Weekend Box Office: 'Avengers' Overtakes 'Hunger Games'

There is no stopping "The Avengers." After only three weeks, Marvel's superhero blockbuster has already out-earned the previous current-release top grosser, "The Hunger Games," raking in a total of $457 million to $392 million for "Hunger." In terms of weekend box office, "Avengers" easily crushed newcomers "Battleship" and "The Dictator." Next week's Memorial Day holiday will probably give the comic-book flick even higher takes.
