Weekend Box Office – Feb. 17-19, 2012

“Safe House,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, took the number one spot over the weekend from the previous leader “The Vow.” Both films have had little drop off in their second weeks and should cross the coveted $100 million mark. Nicholas Cage’s “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” performed moderately with $25 million, but was less than half the $52 million opening the first “Ghost Rider” had over a four-day weekend in 2007.
