Which Movie Musicals Should Oscars Celebrate? (Slideshow)

Next month, the Academy Awards ceremony will pay homage to movie musicals of the last decade, including special celebrations of “Chicago,” “Dreamgirls,” and 2013 Best Picture nominee “Les Misérables.” But this star-studded performance might be missing some unforgettable songs from other stage musicals-turned-movies from the past 10 years, such as “Rent,” “Mamma Mia!,” and “Rock of  Ages.”

“The musical as a motion picture genre has had a remarkable renaissance in the last decade,” said Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. With that in mind, here are some more movie musicals that shouldn’t be left out of this year’s Oscars.
