The World Financial Center Arts & Events Program's "Winter 1999" brings in the new year with a variety of visual arts, dance, silent films, live music, and other exciting fare.
Scheduled are the soaring vocals and violins of Jocelyn Montgomery (Fri., Jan. 22) who will perform highlights from her recent CD, "Lux Vixens."
Four silent films will be shown in the series, each featuring live music. The films slated for "Winter 1999" are "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," (Mon., Jan 25), with a world premiere live score by Al Kryszak; "A Trip to the Moon," and "The Unknown," (Tues., Jan. 26) with an original live score by Philip Johnston; and "The Golem" (Wed., Jan 27) featuring an original guitar solo by Gary Lucas. All films are screened at 6:30 pm.
