Welcome to the great grandmother of bedtime tales with the Young Vic Theatre Company's gloriously gory reinterpretation of the "Arabian Nights."
In the main story, the beautiful Shaharazad [spellings vary from the familiar] saves her country's young women from the king's revenge. Embittered by his queen's infidelity, each night he takes another bride who is beheaded the next morning, assuring her faithfulness. 1,001 women have died.
