Dime

ME, a directors' festival, will run from September 19th to September 21st at Cell2 (3301 Beverly Boulevard). The evening of 10-minute plays showcases work by (in alphabetical order) Jessica Bard, Jay Bushman, Nelson T. Eusebio III, Lindsay Hendrickson, Elaine Kao, Todd Kulczyk, Rory Mitchell, Lily Rains, Judy Smith, and Scott Werve. DIME will feature four completely original new works, as well as previously published short plays. 'DIME is composed of director-driven work, a rarity in Los Angeles' actor-driven theatre,' says producer Jessica Bard. "We are enabling some of Los Angeles' best young theatre directors with an opportunity to get their work out there." DIME's collaborators come from a diverse range of backgrounds and viewpoints, including work done at the Mark Taper Forum, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and the Lodestone Theatre Ensemble. Several are alumni of Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab West. Tickets for DIME are available by calling 310-395-9665 for $10. Performances are Friday, September 19th, and Saturday, September 20th, at 8:00pm and Sunday, September 21st at 4:00pm.
