Erika Shannon

Erika Shannon is a choreographer, teacher, and movement coach, working with dancers of all levels, singers, models, and fitness enthusiasts to help them move their bodies with confidence and connect to movement so it makes sense. Her signature online dance program, Don’t Dodge the Dance Call, has been featured in several theatrical publications, including Backstage!

Shannon has a BFA in musical theater from the University of Michigan, and danced professionally for over 20 years before turning her attention to teaching and choreography. As a performer she has toured with “Rock of Ages,” “West Side Story,” “Saturday Night Fever,” “Fame - The Musical,” and many more. As a choreographer and movement coach she has worked for ABC Family, Adidas, Warner Music Group, GIG, “Ugly Betty,” and others.

Additionally, Shannon has taught dance as a guest instructor at Signature Theatre, the University of Michigan, NYU, Dance Masters, Abby Lee Dance Company, the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theatre, and more. She has been featured in Backstage, Playbill, Glamour, the Daily Burn, Fit For Broadway, Fabletics, the Daily Makeover, Brides, Fit Nation, and more.

Shannon resides in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
