Wild Bill
ITV Crime drama Wild Bill stars Rob Lowe as a high-flying US cop who is appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force. Moving to the midlands with his teenage daughter in tow, his new role helping a colourful cast of locals forces him to question everything he thought he knew about life. Shooting begins in November on location in Lincolnshire and casting director Sarah Crowe is attached.
A Patriot
Dystopian sci-fi thriller A Patriot is casting, with stars Eva Green, Kathy Bates and Ed Skrein already attached. Pet project of writer and director Dan Pringle (K-Shop), the film takes place in a future where an authoritarian country has walled itself off from a world ravaged by climate chaos and resource wars. The story follows the unquestioning Border Corp Captain, played by Green, whose chance discovery forces her to question the authorities she has pledged her life to protect. Shooting begins in spring next year, with locations including Swansea and Port Talbot. Casting director Dan Hubbard is confirmed.
Marcella 3
Acclaimed ITV detective series Marcella returns for a third instalment, written and directed by the acclaimed Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of Nordic noir The Bridge. Anna Friel returns as the murder squad cop whose life changes when her family falls apart. The second-series cliffhanger ending might mean that Marcella 3 explores the world of undercover policing – with the title character ditching her name and identity for the greater good. Shooting in March 2019, casting director Gary Davy is attached.
Krypton 2
Krypton is a TV series set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet. Season 2 follows Superman's grandfather as he fights to redeem his family's honour and save his beloved world from chaos. A second series, starring Cameron Cuffe, is currently filming in Northern Ireland until January, with additional casting by Priscilla John.
